Wedding Without a Bride presents for the first time the entire forgotten music of the East European traditional Jewish wedding in a concert setting. The colorful, ecstatic and moving ritual music is presented by the award-winning, internationally acclaimed quintet, Budowitz, playing on original instruments the entire sequence of the Galician-Volhynian khasene (Yid. Wedding) as it was performed at the end of the 19th Century. Wedding Without A Bride represents the culmination of years of research and performing experience combined with a seductive sense of fun and raucousness.
